Dominique Willaert is the artistic director of the community arts center Victoria Deluxe at the city of Ghent in Flanders, Belgium. Victoria Deluxe (https://www.victoriadeluxe.be/) focuses on theater productions, documentaries, and exhibitions. Their current plays deal with how tinder as an online dating app affects human relations, but also mass protests, youth resistance across Europe, etc.
Dominique was trained as a psychotherapist at the University of Ghent and continued his work with excluded and marginalized groups when he switched to arts and theater production; all projects developed bottom-up with groups at the lower-end of our society (prisoners, political refugees, elderly people).
